I want to thank all of you so much for all of your prayers, messages, emails, and cards for Evangeline and our family.
You have blessed us.
I know so many of you are eagerly looking for an update, and I have so wanted to write and express all that is going on with everyone. You have cheered us on and lifted us in prayer throughout this entire journey with our girls.
Evangeline is improving everyday at the rehab at CHOP. She has made great strides and enjoys every card, letter, sticker set, and bouquet you have sent. She is still primarily using the wheelchair, but is moving quickly toward the crutches stage. I spoke with her physical therapist, and no one knows yet if she will ever regain everything she has lost, but we will continue to pray for a miracle.
Yesterday, we had a long awaited appointment with Developmental Pediatrics for Eliza. Eliza meets all of the criteria for Autism. The doctor is convinced that she is autistic, but will wait until the fall for a formal diagnosis because she feels the diagnosis will bear more credibility once she has been home a year.
Not all stages in life are easy, and this is proving to be a difficult one for our family.
We have so many things to figure out with the girls, and our biological kids are growing tired of the struggles. I just need to take a little break from this blog.
I just don’t have the words right now.
I’m trusting that I will be feeling more like myself again soon.
Blessings All!
